Julian Rubisch makes music of non-presence. Working under the moniker programmverdichter, his practice investigates the margins of musical sense through a logic of subtraction.

Rooted in the inversion of musical polarity, the work employs Subtractive Lutherie to perform a crossing-out of traditional coordinates—a punctuation of the void that makes the trace outlining the figure audible.

These works are demonstrations of the open form: temporisations that resist the closed authored object, leaving something unresolved—a field with a charge rather than a fixed score.
